Lisanne Groeneveldt obtained her Medical Degree at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands, in 2015 and graduated at this university as Master of Science in Molecular Medicine in 2017. She obtained her master in Dentistry magna cum laude at the KU Leuven in 2019. During her studies she was introduced to research into the molecular and cellular principles of the craniofacial area. She wrote three Master theses about bone tissue engineering and participated in biomedical research focused on the prevention of osteoradionecrosis. She has had several articles published in internationally renowned journals on topics related to oral and maxillofacial surgery and obtained the FWO PhD Fellowship fundamental research.
Currently, she is performing research as a PhD candidate into craniofacial bone tissue engineering using periosteal cells and a trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospitals Leuven.
