Nehal Elshazly was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1994. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from The British University in Egypt (BUE) in 2017, graduating with Distinction with Honour. In 2018, she completed her clinical internship year at BUE Hospital, after which she joined the Endodontic Department at BUE as a Teaching Assistant. In this role, she contributed to both clinical training and undergraduate dental education.
In 2023, she obtained her master’s degree in Endodontics. Since then, she has served as an Assistant Lecturer at BUE, where she is actively involved in clinical supervision, hands-on training, and the academic development of dental students.
Currently, she is a PhD researcher at OMFS-IMPATH under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Reinhilde Jacobs. Her doctoral research focuses on Artificial Intelligence-Driven Decision Support in Endodontics, with an emphasis on diagnostic and treatment planning workflows.
