Profile


Bahaaeldeen Elgarba was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 1990. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Tanta University, Egypt, in 2012. After graduating, he worked as a general dentist at the Egyptian Ministry of Health for one year. He then joined the Department of Prosthodontics at Tanta University as a clinical resident and research assistant. Between 2016 and 2019, he completed his Master’s degree in Prosthetic Dentistry at the same university.

Since 2020, he has been an assistant lecturer and researcher in the Department of Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University, specializing in prosthetic and implant dentistry. In 2021, he joined the OMFS-IMPATH research group at KU Leuven, Belgium, as a PhD researcher under the supervision of Prof. Reinhilde Jacobs. He completed his PhD in 2025, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Presurgical Planning of Implant Placement.”

He is currently continuing his work in the same research group as a postdoctoral researcher, focusing on generating further evidence and clinical validation for the integration of artificial intelligence into daily dental workflows.
