Pierre Lahoud is a dentist, Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS, Université Libanaise) with postgraduate training in Advanced Medical Imaging (PgDip, Magna Cum Laude, KU Leuven). Between 2016 and 2018, he volunteered as an emergency medical technician (EMT) in the medical emergency services section of the Red Cross (Byblos, Lebanon). In 2018, he concluded an internship in clinical training at the Catholic University of Leuven (UC Louvain) – Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, in the framework of an Erasmus+ exchange program.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate (OMFS-IMPATH, KU Leuven, Belgium) under the promoters of Prof. Dr. Reinhilde Jacobs and Prof. Dr. Michael Bornstein as his co-promotor. His research topics focus primarily on artificial intelligence-driven planning for treatments and surgeries in the oral and maxillofacial region, as well as biomechanical analysis for assessment and prediction of surgical outcomes.
