PIERRE LAHOUD
Pierre Lahoud is a clinician-researcher specialising in periodontology, implantology, and muco-gingival surgery (MSc. 2026). He earned his PhD in 2024 at KU Leuven, Belgium, working on Artificial Intelligence and biomechanical modelling towards patient-specific oral surgical procedures, having previously completed postgraduate studies in Advanced Medical Imaging (PGD - 2020) and Dental Surgery (DDS - 2019).
He is currently a Clinical Assistant in Periodontology and Implantology and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the OMFS-IMPATH Research Group at KU Leuven, while also serving as a Guest Professor at the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Periodontology and Digital Dentistry of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany.
His research focuses on patient-specific modelling and in-silico simulations, towards personalised clinical periodontal and peri-implant treatments. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, lectured internationally, and received several national and international awards.
